The Tyenna River is a tribuatry of the Derwent and only around 20 kms from Hobart. The angling is best during the summer months and fly is the prefered method in these parts.
Brown trout are most common and obviously welcome.

Lake Burbury is located not far from Queenstown a mining town and hosts tremendous angling year round.
Trolling is one of the prefered methods and Rainbow Trout are plentiful year round.
Another great spot to fish in beautiful Tasmania.

Magnificent area with angling opportunities for both beach and safe jetty fishing for a range of species.
Most common species encountered are Australian Salmon,Flathead,Morwong,Octopus and Squid.
Well worth the effort if not for the angling but for the natural beauty of the region.
