Mikey's Dodge Ram 3500 HD 4WD Cummins Turbo Dually

Post by Bob Fisher » Wed Dec 12, 2007 4:38 am

Mikey sent me some pictures of his new truck
I just got some pictures of the truck back from some film that we turned in about six months ago and forgot about. It is stock except for a sprayed in Rhino bed liner. I got a Lance slide in camper for it this summer so I added an extended hitch - the camper extends 3+ feet over the back so the trailer extension is 48 inches. I didn't get any pictures of it when we went camping this summer - hope to get some next summer. I've got air bags on order and they should be in this week - the camper is 4000+ pounds so it compresses the springs a little - the air bags will bring it back to its normal height. Mikey...

Bobby,

Just thought I'd send along a few photos of the truck & camper from a camping trip Rose and I took a few weeks ago. I saw your tick photos - thats nasty - hopefully you're recovering.

Take care.

Hey Mikey,

That's a nice looking truck and camper. Looks to be pretty comfy camping for you and the little lady these days!

Camper

Post by moikey » Tue May 20, 2008 3:01 pm

Thanks, Timmy. The pictures are from a camping trip we took in April on the coast, when the temperatures where still a little chilly at night. It was nice being able to turn up the thermostat to keep warm during the night. I've always been a tent camper in the past but I'm getting used to this.

Boat

Post by moikey » Wed May 21, 2008 6:43 am

I put the boat in storage a few months ago as I needed my garage because I needed to replace the clutch on my 300zx. The 2nd/3rd syncro rings were bad so I had the transmission overhauled at the same time - new bearings and syncros.

Then, my wife decided it would be nice to park in the garage for a while so I left the boat in storage. I should be picking it up this weekend. With the camper on the truck, I needed to get a SuperHitch™ & SuperTruss® Receiver with a 48" Extension - http://www.torklift.com/superhitch.php. I'll get some pictures of the whole setup this summer. I'm about 48 feet from front bumper to prop when it's all hooked up.

I'll see if I can find some pictures of the Suburban and write up the specs on it.

My son's new truck

Post by moikey » Wed Sep 07, 2011 2:25 am

I know you like the Cummins and so does my son. This is his second one - the first was a 2000 that made over 500+ hp and could smoke the tires for a block. But it was constantly causing problems so he got rid of it and got this.
