Hi all hope you all had a good australia day weekend as we did down here, we went east of town on friday, myself and my grandson AJ, my mates Cobb and his friends son Curtis and last not but not least Mike and his grandson Jessie, we landed at our camp spot and friday at midday and set up camp a mutual freind Grub was already there and he joined us, he ahd been out there since wednesday and had caught a few salmon and a gummie and also a justy size mulloway, beacause of all the calm weather down this way the usuall gutters were all closed out and there was no good holes over at the back beach so a trip further east to isralite was decided this also was wash out as all we ended up with was one little flathead, in sunday we i decided to put the tinnie in and take the kids out and chase my favourites the king goerge whiting, after 4 hrs and putting uop with 3 kids i had had enough of the as well, we ended up with 6 oks and 5 flathead and the biggest sorrow was the amount of blowies we encounted they were in plague proportions, must be some sort of cycle as this is the firts time we have seen them so thick.
Young AJ won the day with the 2 biggest kgs and jess came second with 2 smaller ones. more to follow later on about this particular trip
