Macie Attack at Hillarys Marina

Post by Ross Compe » Thu Jul 13, 2017 9:03 am

Looks like a Macie Attack out from Hillarys Marina :!: :!: :!:
Paul Maciejak nabbed a 20 kilo Samson Fish about 6kms out from shore.
Fishing with Stevo the guys ran into plenty of Herring which is good news and as I recall a nice small shark and some Skippy around the kilo mark were most welcome.
Try skinning your Skippy next time and forget the scaling for better flavour.
:D :D :D

Stop yer wingin about more hot photos as well or I'll scupel yer kippers.
All in good time.
Stinkin new technology
Catchin up we is....
October 5 around the D5 marker and the wreck site was the place to be in Cockburn Sound just before the close of the demersal season for big Pink Snapper to 90cm.
Remember it for next season and read and weep.
Even Hemmingway didn't have to put up with this technoligical foul up.
Plastics and 4kg braid made for lots of fun as a ban on certain species pervade amongst concerns of declining fish stocks.
Good news is the number of Garfish being spotted on the surface.
I like Garfish
Just remember that restrictions are still in place for them as well in certain areas.
More on Jewfish action soon from the the 3 mile reef happening over the last couple of months so stay tuned.

Westralian Jewfish on 3 kilo line out from the 3 mile reef sounds like lots of fun. Stevo and Wayne D were getting amongst some big fish regularly from Waynes boat and terrific results on plastics have interested a few other anglers.
The action a little while ago was kept pretty quiet but was frenetic at times with both anglers enjoying a bonus.
Tight lines..
